In short
We strip out houses, apartments and commercial units in Antequera and the surrounding comarca, removing kitchens, bathrooms, partitions, ceilings and floors and taking the sorted rubble to an authorised facility. Antequera's historic town is a protected Conjunto Histórico, so demolition there needs a licence and, where applicable, heritage authorisation. Owners abroad can arrange and follow the job in English.
The Antequera comarca: where we strip out
The Antequera comarca is one of the nine comarcas of Málaga province, established by the Andalusian Government in 2003. Its landscape is mostly flat – the Hoya de Antequera, drained by the upper course of the Guadalhorce – and Antequera itself lies in the centre of Andalusia where the Málaga–Córdoba and Granada–Seville routes meet.
That central, well-connected position brings a steady mix of work: town houses being refurbished, flats in the newer parts of Antequera, and shops, offices and premises in the main town and in the smaller villages. Unlike on the coast, buildings here are more often single-family houses than large apartment blocks, which changes how a strip out in Antequera is organised.
Antequera's protected historic town
Antequera's historic town is protected as a Bien de Interés Cultural in the Conjunto Histórico category, extended by Decree 5/2013, and the Antequera Dolmens Site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016. In a protected historic area a demolition needs a licence and, where applicable, heritage authorisation; confirm it with the town hall before any dates are fixed. Whether specific interior works count as demolition is for your técnico and the ayuntamiento to determine.
In the other towns of the comarca, each ayuntamiento sets documents and deadlines in its own ordinance, so the same rule applies: ask your técnico or the town hall which procedure fits your job.
Town houses: hand demolition and careful wall removal
Traditional houses in Antequera and the comarca villages are often deep, with internal patios, thick walls and timber or cane ceilings. Hand demolition lets us take out old finishes, kitchens and bathrooms while keeping the structure and any features the project preserves.
Owners frequently want to open up dark rooms. We can remove internal walls once your técnico has confirmed which ones carry load; in old houses many of them do, and an opening may need a beam or lintel designed by the técnico before we start. When the house is part of a building under propiedad horizontal, the community must also be informed.
Apartments and commercial units
In the newer parts of Antequera, a full interior demolition of an apartment follows the usual sequence: fittings and kitchen first, then bathrooms, partitions, ceilings and floors, with rubble bagged and moved down in controlled loads. Shops, bars and offices that change hands need a commercial strip-out back to the shell. In both cases we sort waste into its fractions on site and give you the delivery receipts from the authorised facility.
If the survey finds materials suspected of containing asbestos, such as old fibre-cement sheets or pipes, they are not touched as part of the strip-out. Only a company registered in the RERA may remove them, under a plan de trabajo approved by the labour authority of Málaga province; our RERA-registered subcontractor prepares that plan and carries out the removal, the asbestos waste (17 06 05*) is kept apart and delivered to an authorised manager, and we coordinate the rest of the job around it.
Owners living elsewhere
Some properties in the comarca are owned by people living on the coast, in other parts of Spain or abroad. Send us photos, the address and any plans, and a key holder can open the property for the survey. We confirm the scope in writing, send photo updates during the work and are happy to communicate in English. For whole-house or building demolition in the area, see demolition in Antequera on Demoliciones Málaga.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work outside Antequera town?
Yes, in all the towns of the comarca, including Alameda, Casabermeja, Fuente de Piedra, Humilladero, Mollina and Villanueva de la Concepción.
Can you strip out a house in Antequera's historic centre?
Yes, once your técnico has confirmed with the town hall which licence and heritage authorisation the work needs. We then work largely by hand.
Are walls in old Antequera houses usually load-bearing?
Often they are. Your técnico must confirm each wall before removal and design any beam or lintel the opening needs.
Can you keep a cane or timber ceiling while stripping the rest?
Yes. Elements the project keeps are protected before work starts and we work around them.
Do you clear shops and offices in Antequera?
Yes. We strip commercial units back to the shell and sort the waste for an authorised facility.
Is it a problem that Antequera is inland?
No. The whole provincia de Málaga is our service area; we simply plan the survey and the working days around the travel.
What does the town hall usually ask for?
It depends on the works and the municipality. In Málaga city a works declaración responsable comes with a project or technical report signed by a técnico competente, a technical certificate and photographs; elsewhere, check with the ayuntamiento or your técnico.
Can you strip out a property I have just bought?
Yes. Many buyers have the old interior removed before their builder prices the new one, so the quote is based on what is really behind the finishes.
Will my builder need to clean up after you?
No. The property is handed over swept, with all rubble removed and photographed, so your builder can start straight away.
Do you work with my architect or interior designer?
Yes. We follow their drawings, coordinate dates and send them the same photos you receive.
